Five!

Little D turned five last week. FIVE! How did my first born become a five year old so quickly huh?!

We had a little party at the park, space theme of course. I had too much going on to take a single photo all day. Of course with many wonderful photographers in our circle of friends and family - the day was still well documented. Here's a few thanks to my wonderful cousin, sister in law and mate.

Little D had a blast. We made jet packs for him and his party guests to wear...

Enjoyed a good old fashioned Egg and Spoon race.

And a 'moon buggy' race - buggies powered by the menfolk!

Then it was time for the rocket cake with accompanying gluten free moon cake for the wheat intolerant kidlets!

And much fun running around the playground and park.

This little person was completely knackered by days end and passed out in bed asleep at 6.30pm. What a sweetheart. Stay two my little one, this growing up business happens way too quickly.

And here is the birthday boy at days end. Grubby faced, still wearing his jet pack. Food and dirt all over his t.shirt. And completely and utterly - and happily - spent!

.............................................................

On is birthday morning Little D said he was relieved to be five finally because frankly holding up his hand with his thumb tucked in to indicate his age was uncomfortable and being able to show people his age is so much easier now. Boy do we love this gorgeous kid and his quirky observations such as these.

Happy Birthday Gorgeous Boy. We can't believe it's been five whole years since you arrived in our lives. Look at how much you've grown...
