It was cold yesterday, with a ripping chilling wind that layers of clothing had no chance against. But it was sunny! So we went to one of our favourite little picnic spots in the harbour for a picnic.
Dexter didn't notice the cold and ditched his shoes and hoodie and splashed about in the water and sand.
Poor little Hugo though - was he ever cold. I had to basically wrap him up in my cardy and a towel and cuddle him with his back towards the sun and my body as a windbreak. Away from the beach we were a little more sheltered from the wind, but he still didn't want to give up my woolly cardigan.
What I didn't realise at the time was he was coming down with something and spent all night with a raging temperature. Of course in typical Hugo fashion, he has woken up bright and sparky, normal temp, as if the restless night of tossing and turning beside me never happened!
